This graduate-level specialization program is designed to develop leadership capabilities, strategic insight, and executional discipline required to lead, launch, and grow innovative ventures in dynamic business environments. It emphasizes that successful entrepreneurship emerges from the integration of visionary leadership, creative problem-solving, sound legal and ethical judgment, and the disciplined execution of ideas from concept to market. Students examine how entrepreneurial leadership differs from traditional management approaches and its role in shaping venture culture, motivating diverse teams, and sustaining competitive advantage.
The program is structured to build these capabilities in a progressive and integrated way. Students begin by developing and vetting innovative business ideas aligned with market opportunities and personal goals. They then strengthen their ability to lead entrepreneurial ventures by applying the Planning, Organizing, Leading, and Controlling (POLC) framework, motivating diverse teams, and making decisions under uncertainty. Building on this foundation, students explore the legal and regulatory dimensions of entrepreneurship, including entity formation, contracts, intellectual property, and the evolving landscape of domestic and global e-commerce.
With these elements in place, the curriculum shifts toward execution, guiding students through the process of launching and scaling innovative products and services. Students engage with structured approaches to creativity and innovation, evaluate opportunities, and apply strategic, ethical, and operational decision-making to support venture growth. The program culminates in an integrative seminar in which students synthesize their learning through applied experiences in communication, sales and prospecting, project and time management, negotiation, pitching, and strategic decision-making, enabling them to translate ideas into actionable, real-world entrepreneurial outcomes.
