The goal of solving equations is to find numbers that make the equation true. In other words, numbers that make both sides of the equation equal to each other. Before we start solving equations to find those solutions, let's start by testing if solutions do, in fact, make an equation true. Watch this video to learn how to determine if a number is a solution.
