Parts of Speech Overview

1. Noun: Names a person, place, thing, or idea.

   • Example: Dog, city, happiness, car

2. Pronoun: Replaces a noun to avoid repetition.

3. Verb: Expresses an action or state of being.

4. Adverb: Describes or modifies a verb, adjective, or another adverb.
