ESL004 Discussion: Would You Rather?

I would rather be fluent in all languages. Language is a powerful tool that connects people across cultures, builds relationships, and opens countless opportunities in education, business, and travel. According to research by cognitive scientist Lera Boroditsky (2011), language shapes how we think, perceive time, space, and even emotions. Being fluent in all languages would allow me to understand diverse perspectives, resolve conflicts, and advocate globally. While communicating with animals sounds fascinating, human connection is more essential for creating meaningful change. Language fluency bridges gaps, promotes empathy, and empowers us to influence the world on a much larger scale.
