1. Noun is word that represents a name, place, animal, thing, and concept. An example of a noun is the name Robert. This is a proper noun since it specifies a name of someone. Now, if we say that Robert is a Teacher. The word teacher is an example of a common noun. 
2. Another part of speech is a verb. A verb is a word that indicates an action or a state of being. For example, Teacher Robert walked to the store. The word in the sentence that indicates an action is walked. So, this is the verb in the sentence. Additionally, verb has tenses like in our example a while ago, the word walked is in its past tense so from its root word walk the letters ed are added in the end of the word to indicate that the action was already done.
