One vocabulary strategy I chose to try today is using context clues to figure out the meaning of unfamiliar words while reading. I picked a short article about technology and highlighted any word I didn't fully understand. Instead of immediately looking them up, I tried to guess the meanings based on the surrounding words and sentences.

Here’s how it worked for me:

🔹 Strategy Used: Context Clues
🔹 New Words I Learned:

  • Ubiquitous – I guessed it meant “everywhere” from the sentence: “Smartphones have become ubiquitous in modern life.”

  • Mitigate – I thought it meant “reduce or lessen” from: “To mitigate the risks, companies added extra security layers.”
