I learned that parts of speech are important and divided into 8 categories which are nouns (name people, places, things, or events), verbs (state actions), adjectives (describe words), adverbs (modify verbs or adjectives), pronouns (replace nouns), prepositions (show relationships), conjunctions (connect words or phrases), and interjections (express emotion).
