"I'm Zay."

This is a simple sentence. It contains one independent clause (one subject "I" and one verb

"I'm a Teacher."

This is also a simple sentence. It contains one independent clause (one subject "I" and one verb "am").

 "I like apples but I don't like mangoes."

This is a compound sentence. It contains two independent clauses joined by a coordinating conjunction ("but").

Independent Clause 1: "I like apples"

Independent Clause 2: "I don't like mangoes"

"I have no time even though I want to see a film."

Independent Clause: "I have no time" (This part can stand alone as a complete thought.)

Dependent Clause: "even though I want to see a film" (This part cannot stand alone)
