1. Nouns: to name a person, place, thing, or idea
2. Pronouns: to take a noun's place
3. Verbs: to Express actions, occurrences, or states of being
4. Adjectives: to describe a noun or pronoun
5. Adverbs: to describe a verb, adjective, or adverb
6. Prepositions: to show a relationship of place, time, location, or direction between words
7. Conjunctions: to connect words, phrases, and clauses
8. Interjections: to tell emotion or surprise
