Hello everyone,

After reviewing the Parts of Speech resources, a few concepts really stood out to me and clarified some things I wasn't 100% sure about before. I've pulled a few sentences from the lesson materials that I found particularly insightful.

Here are the sentences and a breakdown of the parts of speech I learned from or found important:

1. Sentence: "She quickly ran to the brightly lit store."

· Important Information: This sentence perfectly illustrates how adverbs can modify different types of words. I used to think they only modified verbs, but this showed me they can modify adjectives and other adverbs too.

· Parts of Speech List:

  · She: Pronoun (personal pronoun, subject of the sentence)

  · quickly: Adverb (modifying the verb "ran" – tells how she ran)

  · ran: Verb (action verb)

  · to: Preposition (shows the relationship between "ran" and "store")

  · the: Determiner/Article (a specific type of adjective)

  · brightly: Adverb (modifying the adjective "lit" – tells how the store was lit)

  · lit: Adjective (modifying the noun "store" – describes the store)

  · store: Noun (object of the preposition "to").

Thank you!
