Vocabulary Building

To build my vocabulary, I tried Diversifying by watching documentaries, listening to podcasts, and reading blog posts. I managed to learn new words listening from podcasts compared to other sources. Whenever I encounter an unfamiliar word, I would also look for its definition, synonyms, and antonyms to familiarize myself with the word.

For this week, I learned of the words: deftly and ornate

In my own words, deftly is an adverb defined as a skillful, quick, and neat movement used to describe an action.

For example: The technical team deftly transitioned numerous slides ensuring a smooth presentation flow for the anniversary.

For the other word, ornate is an adjective defined as made in an intricate shape or decorated with complex markings.

For example: The ornate lampshade has been a family relic since the 17th century.
