PARTS OF SPEECH

I enjoyed the lesson about Parts of Speech. It made me pay attention to how words perform different functions in a sentence. A few sentences that stood out to me: “Elizabeth was a beautiful princess.” – Nouns: Elizabeth, princess; Verb: was; Adjective: beautiful “She looked everywhere for something to wear.” – Pronouns: She, something; Verb: looked; Adverb: everywhere “Unfortunately, a dragon smashed her castle.” – Adverb: Unfortunately; Nouns: dragon, castle; Verb: smashed; Pronoun: her I loved how adjectives modify nouns, adverbs modify verbs, and pronouns reduce the repetitive use of names. I can’t wait to hear what sentences you guys found interesting as well.
