  1. Today, I decided to try the context clues strategy to learn new words. I read a short article and tried to figure out the meaning of unfamiliar words by looking at the sentences around them. For example, I encountered the word “fragile” and understood it meant something that can break easily because the sentence talked about a delicate glass vase.


I also learned the words “meticulous” and “hasten” using this method. I think this strategy worked for me because it helped me understand words without always needing to look them up. I plan to keep using context clues to improve my vocabulary every day.
