Today, I tried using the prefix and suffix strategy to build my vocabulary. I practiced adding prefixes like mis-, im-, and over- and suffixes like -less and -ment to root words. This helped me guess the meanings of new words without looking them up in the dictionary.

For example, I learned that misbehavior means “bad behavior,” impossible means “not possible,” and motionless means “without motion.” I also practiced with words like commitment and overcharged.

This strategy worked well for me because it gave me a system to understand and remember many new words at once. I plan to keep using prefixes and suffixes to expand my vocabulary.
