Parts of Speech Discussion

From the Parts of Speech lesson, I learned that every word in a sentence plays a specific role. Understanding these roles helps us write more clearly and effectively.

Here are a few example sentences and the parts of speech used in them:

1. The cat runs quickly.

   • The → Article (determiner)
   • cat → Noun
   • runs → Verb
   • quickly → Adverb

2. She is reading a book.

   • She → Pronoun
   • is → Helping verb
   • reading → Verb
   • a → Article
   • book → Noun

3. Beautiful flowers bloom in spring.

   • Beautiful → Adjective
   • flowers → Noun
   • bloom → Verb
   • in → Preposition
   • spring → Noun

This exercise helped me see how words connect to create meaning. I found it especially useful to understand the difference between adjectives and adverbs, since both describe but in different ways
