These sections helped me lot to recall what I have learnt in my school days.
I like to summarize the parts of speech using simple examples
There are 8 parts of speech
1. NOUN ( name , place, thing ,idea, animal)
eg: Swathi runs fast - Swathi is noun
2.PRONOUN ( Replaces the noun)
eg: she runs fast - she is pronoun here
3. verb ( Action word)
run - doing action
4. adverb ( describes the verb)
eg: fast is adverb here
5. adjective ( describes the noun or pronoun)
Swathi is smart and runs fast
smart is adjective here
6. preposition ( relationship between noun /pronoun to the other word )
swathi is smart and runs fast in the marathon
in is preposition here
7. conjunction ( join the the two words,phrase,or sentences )
and is conjuction for the above sentence
8. interjection (expresses sudden feeling or emotions)
hurray!! swathi won the race
