Ther are eight parts of speech in standard english , they are considered the building blocks of the language :
1/nouns : name a person, place , thing or idea like doctor , jack,bycicle, algeria
2/pronouns : take a name's place like it, he
3/adjective : describe a noun or pronoun like small ,white
4/ verbs : describe an action or state like drink , be ,study
5/ adverbs : describe a verb, adjective or adverb like slowly,
6/ preposition : show a relationship of place ,time ,location or direction between words like in, on, at, to
7/ conjuction : connect word phrases and clauses like and , because , if , when
8/ interjections: tell emotion or surprise like yeah, oops
