As I proceed with learning this course topic I enrolled to, my knowledge about Parts of Speech has widen. I became enlightened about the difference of subordinating and coordinating conjunctions with some examples. Moreover, I liked that the topics were explained in a simple way and in a way that people will understand easily.
If I may summarize what I learned so far, here are a few key takeaways:
1. Nouns are naming words. It has many types. Ex: Anne is a teacher.
2. Pronouns are words that replace nouns. Ex: She is a teacher.
3. Verbs are action words. We have regular and irregular verbs. Ex: Anne teaches her students.
4. Adverbs are words that modify verbs or another adverbs. Ex: Anne teaches a topic to her students enthusiastically.
5. Adjectives are describing words. Ex: Anne is a kind teacher.
6. Prepositions are words that tell us the relationship of a noun to another word in a sentence. Ex: The ball is under the table.
7. Conjunctions are words that connect a phrase or a clause in a sentence. Ex: Anne is hungry but she is tired to cook.
8. Articles are words used before a noun. Ex: The apple is a fruit.
9. Interjections are short words used as expressions. Ex: Ouch! That hurts.
