Today, I tried to build my vocabulary by focusing on context clues while reading an article about workplace communication. Instead of immediately checking the dictionary, I tried to guess the meanings of unfamiliar words based on the surrounding sentences.

Did it work?

Yes, it worked quite well. I realized that I could often figure out the general meaning of a word just by paying attention to how it was used in context. This helped me read more smoothly without interrupting the flow of my understanding.

New Words I Learned:

Convey – to communicate or express something

Cohesive – forming a united whole

Articulate – able to express ideas clearly and effectively

Reflection:

This strategy helped me not only learn new words but also remember them better because I understood how they were used naturally in sentences. I plan to keep using this method whenever I read articles or watch English videos with subtitles.
