While reviewing the Parts of Speech resources, I found a few sentences that helped me understand how words work together in English. Here are some examples I learned from:

  1. Sentence: “Elizabeth was a beautiful princess.”

    • Noun: Elizabeth, princess

    • Verb: was

    • Adjective: beautiful

  2. Sentence: “She lived in a castle and had expensive clothes.”

    • Pronoun: she

    • Verb: lived, had

    • Preposition: in

    • Adjective: expensive

    • Noun: castle, clothes

  3. Sentence: “Unfortunately, a dragon smashed her castle.”

    • Adverb: unfortunately

    • Noun: dragon, castle

    • Verb: smashed

    • Pronoun: her

These examples helped me see how each part of speech plays a role in building clear and meaningful sentences.
