1. Phrase
Phrase is not including both subject and verb. It acts single part of speech.
(noun, verb, adjective, preposition, and etc.).
Example: is playing together (verb phrase), not today (adverbial phrase), in the sunset (prepositional phrase).
2. Clause
Clause, unlike phrase, has both subject and verb. There are two types of clause, which are:
2.1. Independent clause
Independent clause tells a complete thought and has no confusion. Also, it can stand alone as a sentence on its own.
Example: Dani plays guitar, Robert doesn't know where his phone.
2.2 Dependent clause
Dependent clause tells an incomplete thought and making the reader confuse. It can't stand alone unless it's combined with independent clause and becoming a complete sentence.
Example: if the world ends. (what happen if the world ends?), to play piano.
