Today I tried the “keyword and example sentence” strategy to build my vocabulary.
First, I chose five new words from my reading. Then I searched for simple definitions and wrote one example sentence for each word. This strategy helped me understand the words better because I could see how they are used in real sentences.
It worked well for me. I remembered the meanings more easily after writing the sentences.
Some new words I learned today are: “disingenuous,” “parentheses,” “reluctant," " disorganized,” and “soothing.”
I will continue using this strategy because it helps me learn and remember new vocabulary quickly.
