In this activity, I practiced identifying sentence patterns by breaking each sentence into it is parts.
For example:
Robert lives in an apartment.
Subject: Robert
Verb: lives
Place: in an apartment
He loves his job.
Subject: He
Verb: loves
Object: his job
His wife teaches college courses.
Subject: His wife
Verb: teaches
Object: college courses
They work in the morning.
Subject: They
Verb: work
Time: in the morning
This exercise helped me better understand how subjects, verbs, objects, place and time work together to form clear sentences.
