Today I chose the context clues strategy to improve my vocabulary. This strategy means understanding the meaning of a new word by reading the sentences around it, without using a dictionary right away.
I tried it while reading a short text, and it worked well because I could understand the general idea without stopping. Later, I checked the dictionary to confirm the meanings.
