Today, I chose to build my vocabulary by looking at synonyms for new words and using them in example sentences. For each new word, I wrote down its meaning, at least two synonyms, and a sentence to remember it better.
Did It Work?
Yes! Seeing the synonyms helped me understand the word more deeply, and making sentences helped me remember it.
New Words I Learned:
Dilapidated – old and falling apart
Stoic – calm and not affected by pain or pleasure
Tardy – late or delayed
Why This Strategy Helps:
Using synonyms and sentences makes the words more meaningful, so I can recognize and use them in real situations.
