I have understanded the type of sentence based on functions or jobs.
1, Declarative sentence = are used to communicate information or make statements.
Example; A college education is important for successful career.
2, Intrrogative sentence = are used to ask questions
Example; Do you go to market?
What is your department ?
3, Imperative; command or polite request, to give directions.
Example; Close the door?
Complete your sentence and stop writing.
4, exclamatory sentence = the sentence with emotion.
Example; the house is on fire!
Oh my god!
Amazing!
Wow!
