Parts of speech
1. Noun – Names a person, place, thing, or idea.
Example: teacher, city, book, freedom
2. Pronoun – Replaces a noun.
Example: he, she, it, they
3. Verb – Shows action or a state of being.
Example: run, is, eat, think
4. Adjective – Describes a noun or pronoun.
Example: big, happy, blue, fast
5. Adverb – Describes a verb, adjective, or another adverb.
Example: quickly, very, well, always
6. Preposition – Shows the relationship between a noun/pronoun and another word.
Example: in, on, under, before
7. Conjunction – Connects words, phrases, or clauses.
Example: and, but, or, because
8. Interjection – Shows strong feeling or reaction.
Example: wow! oh! ouch!
