The eight (8) parts of speech are:
- Nouns - refers to a person, place, thing or idea
- Pronouns - replaces a noun (he, she, we, you, they, us, it)
- Verbs - describes an action or state of being.
- Adjectives - describes a noun.
- Adverbs - describes a verb or an adjective.
- Prepositions - depicts relations (on, in, under, by, between)
- Conjunctions - brings sentences together like a bridge (and, but, because)
- Interjections- expression of emotions (wow, oh, hey)
