Today, I tried the context clues strategy to build my vocabulary. While reading a short article, I looked at the sentences before and after an unfamiliar word to understand its meaning instead of using a dictionary right away. This strategy worked well for me because it helped me guess the meaning and remember the word better.
The new words I learned were “diagnostic,” “maintain,” and “adjust.” By seeing how these words were used in sentences, I could understand their meanings more clearly. I like this strategy because it saves time and helps me become a more confident reader.
