Today I chose to use the context clues strategy to build my vocabulary. While reading my course material, I paid close attention to how unfamiliar words were used in sentences and tried to guess the meanings before checking a dictionary. This strategy worked well for me because it helped me understand the text without stopping too often. Some new words I learned include "significant," "analyze," and "derive." After guessing their meanings, I confirmed them using a dictionary, which made them easier to remember. I like this strategy because it improves my reading flow and helps me learn words naturally.
