Global warming means the gradual increase in the Earth’s temperature over a long period of time. It happens mainly because of human activities like burning fossil fuels, cutting down forests, and using vehicles and factories that release harmful gases. These gases, such as carbon dioxide and methane, trap heat in the atmosphere. This is called the greenhouse effect. Because of this, the planet becomes warmer than normal.

Global warming causes many serious problems. Ice at the North and South Poles is melting, which increases sea levels and can flood coastal areas. Weather patterns are also changing. Some places face extreme heat, droughts, and forest fires, while others get heavy rainfall and floods. Animals and plants are also affected because their natural habitats change or disappear.

We can help reduce global warming by taking small but important steps. We should plant more trees, save electricity, use public transport, and reduce the use of plastic. Renewable energy sources like solar and wind power are also better choices. Recycling and reusing materials can also make a difference.

Global warming is a global problem, and everyone must work together to solve it. If we act responsibly today, we can protect the Earth for future generations.
