Today, I chose the context clue strategy to build my vocabulary. I tried to understand the meaning of new words by reading the sentences around them instead of immediately using a dictionary. This strategy worked well for me because it helped me guess meanings naturally and remember the words better.
While reading an article, I learned new words like “persistent”, “efficient”, and “analyze.” By looking at how these words were used in sentences, I understood that persistent means not giving up easily, efficient means doing something well without wasting time, and analyze means to examine something carefully.
Overall, this vocabulary strategy was helpful and easy to use. I plan to continue using context clues along with a dictionary to improve my vocabulary and English reading skills.
