How Adverbs actually work

I was looking through the resources on Parts of Speech and found a section that really clarified how adverbs function. I used to think adverbs only modified verbs, but this sentence stood out to me as important because it explains their broader use "Adverbs are versatile words that can modify verbs, adjectives, and even other adverbs to provide context about manner, place, or time."

I also liked this sentence about prepositions, as it helps visualize their purpose: "A preposition sits before a noun (or a pronoun) to show the noun's relationship to another word in the sentence."
