Today I tried the strategy of using flashcards along with writing new words in sentences. First, I selected 10 new words from my reading lesson. I wrote the word on one side of the flashcard and its meaning, synonym, and one example sentence on the other side. After that, I practiced using each word in my own sentences to understand the context better.

This strategy worked well for me because writing sentences helped me remember the meaning clearly. Instead of just memorizing definitions, I understood how to use the words in real situations. I also reviewed the flashcards twice during the day, which helped in better retention.

Some new words I learned today are:

  • Enhance – to improve something

  • Significant – important

  • Interpret – to explain the meaning

  • Expand – to increase in size or knowledge

  • Accurate – correct and exact

Overall, this strategy helped me build my vocabulary in an active and practical way. I will continue using this method to improve my English skills.
