There are many words English used to describe other words like nouns, verbs, adjectives and pronouns. Nouns are people, places or things while verbs are action words like run or catch but can be used to link sentences like the word 'had' Adjectives describe nouns like 'beautiful girl' where beautiful would be the adjective and girl would be the noun. While pronouns are he, she , her and he (I) used to substitute for a person's name when it is already mentioned once in the sentence.
