There are nouns, pronouns, adjectives, adverbs, conjunctions, interjections…
The nouns are the things that we can touch. The adjectives gives characteristics to the noun. The pronouns substitutes the noun in a phrase.
The adverbs complements the verbs, other adverbs. The conjunctions joins two parts of the phrase and the interjections is used in a speech more than write.
