I tried using context clues as my vocabulary strategy today. While reading a short passage, I looked at the sentences around unfamiliar words to guess their meanings. This strategy worked well for me because I did not need to check a dictionary every time.
I learned some new words like “predict,” “strategy,” and “improve.” I understood their meanings by looking at how they were used in the sentences.
Overall, this strategy was helpful, and I will continue using context clues to build my vocabulary.
