I practiced identifying sentence patterns using the SVOMPT table. For example, in “Robert lives in an apartment,” the subject is Robert, the verb is lives, and the place is in an apartment. Another example is “They work in the mornings,” where the subject is They, the verb is work, and the time is in the mornings. This helped me see how sentence parts fit into the SVOMPT structure.
