Strategy Chosen: Contextual Clues

I decided to try using contextual clues to understand new words while reading. When I encountered unfamiliar terms, I looked at the surrounding sentences and ideas to guess their meaning instead of immediately checking a dictionary.

Did it work?

Yes, it worked very well! It helped me understand the overall message faster and improved my reading flow. It also made me more confident in figuring out meanings on my own.

New words learned:

Semantic – relating to meaning in language or logic.

Optimization – the action of making the best or most effective use of a situation or resource.

Engagement – the action of engaging or being involved.

I will definitely keep using this strategy to build my vocabulary!
