I would rather be fluent in all languages because, in the Philippine context, this would greatly benefit education and communication. As a diverse country with over 180 languages, linguistic barriers can affect learning, especially in multicultural and multilingual classrooms. Being fluent in all languages would help teachers bridge gaps, support indigenous learners, and promote inclusive education aligned with the Department of Education’s Mother Tongue-Based Multilingual Education (MTB-MLE) program. Research shows that children learn best in their first language, and being multilingual strengthens cognitive abilities. This skill would also enhance collaboration with local and international educators for curriculum development.
