Reports for business and school use different formatting standards. However, formatting reports of any kind requires the use of many of the same commands. This video focuses on how to set up MLA formatting for an academic report. It demonstrates how to set margins, add page numbers, center a title, indent paragraphs, and start a new page in Google Docs. Note that scholars use three main style conventions to format their documents depending on the subject matter: APA (American Physiological Association), MLA (Modern Language Association), and Chicago Manual of Style.
