In my opinion I think IT offshoring is a double edged sword. I get why companies do it, it can cut costs for big corps trying to stay competitive. Its hard to blame them from a business standpoint. But at the same time it sucks for workers in the US or other high cost of living countries who lose their jobs because of it. It creates uncertainty and really hurt the tech industry in said country. The real issue here is balance, it depends on how companies handle it. It can be don ethically or unethically. Overall offshoring can be part of a strategy but companies neeed to be responsible for doing it ethically.
