I would rather be fluent in all human languages. Language connects people, preserves culture, and enables global communication. Being able to speak every language would allow me to understand different perspectives, build relationships across cultures, and access knowledge in its original form. According to linguists, much meaning is lost in translation, so fluency would give me a clearer understanding of ideas and emotions. While communicating with animals is intriguing, their communication is often limited to basic needs or emotional states. Human language, in contrast, conveys complex thought. In a globalized world, speaking all languages would be a powerful tool for change.
