There are eight pats of speech

Nouns- They are naming words that name people place animals and ideas. For example- Tom, Tokyo, nature, etc.                                                          Verbs- They describe the action of a state or a being. For example- reading, are, have, dancing, etc.                                                                                Pronouns- They modify a noun. For example- She, he, they, her, etc.            Adverbs- They describe verbs, adjectives and other adverbs. For example-  happily often, never, sometimes, etc.                                                            Conjunctions- They connect sentences, phrases and clauses etc. For             example-  and, or, so, because, etc.                                                      Adjectives- They describe nouns. For example- beautiful, tall, etc.              Prepositions- A word that connects a noun, pronoun or a phrase with a        word. For example- in, on, in front of, under, etc.                                          Interjections- they express an emotion or a feeling in words. For example- Oh, Um, Aha, etc.
