One sentence that I’ve seen a lot but never really thought about deeply is:
“The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog.”
It turns out this sentence is a great example because it includes almost every letter of the alphabet, but also, it’s packed with different parts of speech. Here’s what I noticed:
Nouns: fox, dog – These are the animals in the sentence.
Adjectives: quick, brown, lazy – They describe what kind of fox and dog we’re talking about.
Verb: jumps – The action being done by the fox.
Preposition: over – Shows the direction or relationship between the fox and the dog.
Articles: the – Points out specific nouns.
