Prepositions - show a relationship of place, time, location or direction between words.

     Examples:

1. I placed my phone on the table.
2. The chairs were placed neatly in the storage room.     

1. She forgot her keys at home so she gets off the bus and went back home.  
2. He failed his exam because he did not study.
