Types of sentences
1. Declarative Sentence (makes a statement)
- Structure: Subject + Verb + Object
- Example: She lives in New York.
2. Interrogative Sentence (asks a question)
- Structure: (Helping Verb) + Subject + Verb...?
- Example: Do you enjoy living in Tokyo?
3. Imperative Sentence (gives a command or request)
- Structure: (You) + Verb...
- Example: Please turn off the lights.
4. Exclamatory Sentence (shows strong feeling)
- Structure: Similar to a declarative, but ends with an exclamation!
- Example: What a beautiful sunset this is!
5. Optative Sentence (expresses a wish or prayer)
- Structure: Often starts with "May" or "Wish"
- Example: May you have a successful journey.
