  • Declarative:
    Makes a statement or expresses a fact, ending with a period. Example: "The sky is blue." 
    • Interrogative:
      Asks a question, ending with a question mark. Example: "Is the sky blue?" 
      • Imperative:
        Gives a command or makes a request, often ending with a period, but can also end with an exclamation point for emphasis. Example: "Close the window." or "Get out of here!" 
Exclamatory:
Expresses strong emotion, ending with an exclamation mark. Example: "I'm so excited!"
