For this discussion, I looked at the following sentence:

"The manager explained the new policy clearly in the meeting yesterday."

I identified the sentence pattern using the SVOMPT structure:

S (Subject) V (Verb) O (Object) M (Manner) P (Place) T (Time)

The manager explained the new policy clearly in the meeting yesterday

Sentence Pattern:

This sentence follows the SVOMPT pattern:

Subject – Verb – Object – Manner – Place – Time

It helped me better understand how word order can make sentences clear and logical in English. I also realized that in English, time usually comes at the end, and manner often comes before place and time.

I’m curious to see if anyone else used a different pattern or sentence!
