In Unit 1.1, I have learned that there are 8 Parts of Speech in Standard English.

1. Nouns - name a person, place, thing, or an idea or concept.
Example sentence: The smart students can learn English very fast.

In this sentence, the students are the main subject and it shows that we can formulate a noun phrase if we add or combine or use this pattern: article + adjective + noun.

Examples of Noun: Alex, teacher, South Korea, light stick, dolphin, victory. etc.

2. Pronouns - take a noun's place.

3. Adjectives - describe a noun or pronoun.

4. Verbs - describe an action or a state.

5. Adverbs - describe a verb, adjective, or adverb.

6. Prepositions - show a relationship of place, time, location, or direction between words.

7. Conjunctions - connect words, phrases, and clauses.

8. Interjections - tell emotion or surprise.

A/N: I apologize, I couldn't express what I learned in my own words like in the first number due to time limit but I have learned them now properly but will continue to review them again next time.
